People who are victims of human trafficking are often stuck due to untreated mental health issues that make it difficult for them to achieve self-esteem and feel successful in different aspects of life. They may also risk returning to a life of prostitution if traumatic and mental health issues are not thoroughly and adequately addressed.
EXIST has just received a donation from CKU - Center for Church Development Cooperation, which makes it possible to offer training and practice in mental health to 30 employees and 80-100 residents at 10 safehouses. The course also includes a program where 30-60 women who previously lived in these safehouses are offered to participate in selected parts of the course.
