I am Christina Isaac, a 28-year-old woman from Benue state, Nigeria. I am a survivor of human trafficking, specifically labor exploitation. On the 3rd of August 2021, I was referred to Greater Love Lighthouse, where I spent 2 years and 4 months undergoing rehabilitation before being reintegrated back with my family in December 2023.

During my stay at Greater Love Lighthouse, I participated in a rehabilitation program that included tailoring and fashion design, for which I received a certificate. I then chose to further my knowledge by studying advanced tailoring for an additional year. I developed a deep interest in the skills I learned, and after completing my rehabilitation, I started a fashion business in my village, sewing fabrics for people. This business now sustains me.

My dream is to empower other young girls to learn fashion design and become professionals, so they do not fall into the hands of traffickers like I did.
