Imagine a life where injustice and exploitation fill everyday life. There is little room for learning and developing skills.
EXIST fights to ensure that vulnerable Nigerian women can develop skills to become self-sufficient while creating the conditions for engaging in the development of their own local community.
Right now you have the opportunity to help 10 women get a diploma as a seamstress, baker or hairdresser.

What does the support go towards?
A school kit contains tools like scissors, needles, thread, and pattern drawing paper — everything needed to develop skills and potentially start a small sewing workshop in a village.
The journey from coercion and exploitation - to development that spreads hope and faith in the future.
A life of prostitution is a life of coercion, violence, and exploitation – experiences that result in lifelong trauma.
A safehouse is a safe home for women who have left prostitution behind. Here they complete a rehabilitation program where they develop skills, receive a certificate of education, and prepare to return to a life of dignity, employment, and self-sufficiency.
With new skills, the women establish their own workshops and shops in the local village and become known for their craftsmanship – they have become entrepreneurs. They thrive, create relationships and become part of the local community.
The women organize themselves in the village and speak out on issues such as human rights, human trafficking, sustainable values and the importance of schooling and education. They have become visionaries. They take responsibility for the development of their own local community and they do it together with the other citizens of the village.

Schooling and learning create inspiration, hope, joy and ultimately it saves lives. In Nigeria, schooling is not customary as we know it in Denmark. Unfortunately, most people down there never get to have the choice.
With 100 DKK per month for 3 months, you help vulnerable women in Nigeria who have been given birth safely and without fear of danger, to start a school course that can secure their future.
After the 3 months, your payment stops automatically, unless you choose to extend your help.
Your support goes to, among other things:
- Ensuring schooling for women who have not attended school
- A school starter pack for women
- To enable women to live a normal life without fear of danger
As a thank you for your support, you will receive:
- A greeting from EXIST every other month
- An insight into the development and progress
- Great success stories from women who have come out on the other side

When you support EXIST, your money goes to help and support vulnerable women in Nigeria. You are not supporting one specific initiative, but several initiatives that help create safety, education and re-establishment of women who have lived a life of exploitation, without rights and with fear.
As a regular support, you will receive an email every month with news and updates on the various projects EXIST contributes to in Nigeria. Your support will not go to a specific area, but will cover several of the most needed areas such as education and shelter in a safe environment.
If you support EXIST's work, you have the opportunity to get a tax deduction. You decide your support amount yourself. No matter what you choose, it makes a difference in the efforts against human trafficking in Denmark and in Nigeria. All gifts / support amounts are tax deductible up to DKK 19,000 (2025). If you want a tax deduction, you simply need to provide your CPR number when registering or subsequently.
As a permanent supporter at EXIST, you support each month with an amount of your choice. It is entirely up to you how long and how much you want to support. There will never be a commitment to your support.
