That's why EXIST exists
EXIST works actively to prevent and combat human trafficking, a widespread global problem.
This type of crime is a serious violation of basic human rights and a gross violation of an individual's right to self-determination over their own body and life. Human trafficking is today the fastest growing crime worldwide and is a lucrative business for ruthless traffickers who deprive fellow human beings of their freedom and dignity. This is unacceptable.

Visiting Nigeria
In June, Asta Klosterskov Handberg, communication consultant at the Center for Church Development Cooperation, visited Nigeria together with Karin Kjærgaard, General Manager of EXIST.
"Over five intense days, I met many girls and women who have been trafficked - but even more who dream of making a difference for others. They shared stories of hope, forgiveness and future plans that go far beyond their own lives. It was a journey full of powerful encounters that have left a deep impression. That's why I've written a report from the trip."
